Biology students toured the Topeka Zoo Tuesday. Every student chose an animal, bird or reptile to study prior to the trip. While at the zoo, students studied their animal's behavior, environment, food and activities and kept a chart of everything. The students also spent an hour in the classroom learning about zoos and their role in conservation and the preservation of animals.

Jayden Gustafson shared, "I studied the Bornean Orangutan. Something I found interesting about them is that they like to cover themselves with things. I enjoyed getting out of school and just going to see all the animals."
