FFA Officers

On Sunday, April 21, the Royal Valley FFA Chapter had their annual banquet at 4:00 PM in the RVHS Gym. Here many members were recognized for their achievement, as well as the Advisors and community members. Here is a list of people who received awards.

Proficiency Awards: In the area of Ag Mechanics Design and Fabrication, Joie Boyer is the chapter and district winner. Alexandria Kester was the district and chapter winner in the area of Dairy Production-Entrepreneurship and the district runner-up and chapter winner in the area of Beef Production-Entrepreneurship. In the area of Goat Production, Dakota Hittle is our chapter winner and received district runner-up. In the area of Nursery Operations, Addilyn Lefferd received district runner-up and was our chapter winner. Tyson Parks is the district and chapter winner in Swine Production and the district runner-up and chapter winner in Turf Grass Management.  In the area of Veterinary Science, Mariah Zavala is the district and chapter winner.

Ag Backers: Our first Ag Backers officers are Emily Albright, president, Jarrod Golden, Vice-President, and Mandy Phillips, Secretary/Treasurer.

Career Development Events: Alexandria Kester had a great year in Career Development Events.  She is our high individual in Agriculture Business, Floriculture, Employability Skills, FFA Information, Parliamentary Procedure Test, Nursery and Landscape Evaluation, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Veterinary Science. Tyson Parks was the high individual in the FFA Rituals competition, where he was named Master President of the Northeast District.  Ethan Wabskie was the high individual in the Agricultural Communications CDE and the Extra Upper Speech Division. Dakota Hittle is the high individual in Dairy Judging and Junior Division Public Speaking. Lanna Brown was the high individual in the Food Science and Milk Quality CDE’s. In Entomology, Cyrus Harding was our high individual. In Horse Judging, Mariah Zavala was our high individual. In Land Evaluation, Callie Coleman hit the slopes and was our high individual. NoElla Jim-Tiscareno was our high individual in the Meats Evaluation CDE. In the Senior Prepared LDE and the Poultry CDE, Joie Boyer was our high individual.  Addilyn Lefferd was our high individual in the sophomore prepared public speaking. Payton-Hollar Hicks was our high individual in Freshman Prepared Public Speaking. Sydney Moss was our high individual in Wool Judging.

Star Presentation: This year’s chapter Star in Agriculture Business goes to Tyson Parks. This year's chapter Star in Agriculture Placement goes to Mariah Zavala. Our chapter Greenhand Star In Agriculture Business goes to Addilyn Lefferd.

Special Awards: This semester we have been blessed with an amazing student teacher in the agriculture room, Miss Ascher. Mrs. Clark, from being awarded the Carl Perkins Community Service Award for the Kansas Association of Agricultural Education to being named the 2024 Outstanding Teacher for Kansas in Ag Education, to finally being recognized as the Northeast District Golden Owl, we are very proud of you and are glad you are our advisor.
