On Monday, April 15, the RVHS Softball team played at Perry. The scores from that night led Varsity to a loss in both games. The first game was 5 to 10 and the second game had a final score of 10 to 17.

Madison Blackwood pitched game 1 and allowed 14 hits and 7 earned runs of the 10 scored. The Panthers had 13 hits in the game and were led by Stormy Lake with 3 hits and Sammy Klotz with 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Blackwood, Dasno Mills and Averie Stithem all collected multiple hits.

The JV, on the other hand, won both games and those scores were 12 to 9 and the last game was 20 to 8. Josie Shelton drove in 4 runs on 3 hits to lead the Panthers. She hit a home run to right field in the 2nd inning scoring two and a double in the 5th inning to add to her RBI count.

Josie expressed, "Being hot during warm up was the biggest challenge. It was humid! I felt happy and passionate about getting 3 hits and driving in 4 runs.. I hope to see a slow pitcher in our next game."

Just a reminder that Senior Night will be on Monday, April 22nd at the Hoyt City Park.
