Post-Secondary Education gif

Hi, Everyone! I received some great resources that I would like to share with all of you. KSDE created a document that will help you make post-secondary decisions. It includes information about all of the Kansas universities, community colleges, tech schools, transfer credit information, financial aid information, and also scholarship information.

ACT Information
ACT is adding additional testing dates for this upcoming fall! You can see the dates and register to take the test - click here!

July and Fall testing will continue forward, in accordance with local gov and CDC guidelines. They will communicate with registered students if there are any changes to the test centers via email. Updates will also be posted on the website.

The ACT is postponing the ability to section test - taking just one section instead of the whole test in order to improve that section’s score - which was set to start in Fall. This was done to maximize the capacity of students wanting to take the full test. No timetable set as to when this will be available.

Superscoring – The ACT will be superscoring for students that have taken more than one test. Please keep in mind that this will only affect admissions for prospective Wichita State students; superscoring won’t have an effect on scholarships, as I’ve previously mentioned. Starts September 2020.

Fee Waivers – The ACT is upping their waivers from 2 to 4 for students that qualify, and will allow those qualifying students an unlimited number of score reports for their college(s) of interest. This is awesome for low-income students to have more opportunities to pursue their education goals. Starts September 2020.

Online Testing – This will be available at select sites initially, with the eventual goal to make it available to any student. This will provide much faster turnaround time on getting scores back. Starts September 2020.
