On Tuesday, May 6th, students in Mrs. Steele’s Consumer Math class volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. They went to Topeka to remodel the porch of a house.

The students removed dated wood from the front porch so they could re-level it and attach it to the house. Then they replaced the wood.

Students also got to demolish a cement staircase and build a wooden staircase. They did a beautiful job and we’re proud of them. Good job Panthers!

When asked about what she thought about the experience, senior Telissa Montague had this to say, ā€œIt was lots of fun and a really good experience. I would definitely recommend it.ā€
