Students in RVHS art classes designed luminary bags for Relay for Life, who will now sell the luminaries as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in its mission to help save lives.
Art teacher Ms. Chenoweth stated, "Students did the best job this year. I am very proud of their efforts."
This year, Relay for Life is on Friday May 16th at Hummer Sports Park.
The event is from 6 pm to 11 pm. After the sun sets, the luminaries will be lit to remember those we have lost to cancer and to celebrate cancer survivors.
All are welcome to walk around, support vendors and team booths, and enjoy yourselves.
