On Wednesday, October 22nd, the RVES Panther Families met for the second time this school year. This month’s focus was making healthy choices & saying no to peer pressure.
Each Panther Family meeting begins with one of the following activities:
“Tell Me Something Good” – Students share one positive thing from their week.
Check-In Rating Scale – Students rate their day on a scale of 1–5 (1 = rough day, 5 = amazing) and share one word to describe how they feel.
Feeling Word Share – Students choose a feeling word (such as “proud,” “brave,” or “thankful”) and share a time they felt that way.
After these activities and group discussions, families brainstormed examples of healthy choices and positive peer pressure. They then worked together to create a Pledge Poster.
If time allowed, meetings concluded with students making “My Power Word” bracelets to wear throughout the week as a reminder of their positive choices.
