Students in Mr. Jackson's U.S. History class worked as individual members of an assembly line to show the difference between how things were creates before and after the Industrial Revolution. They did their first shift using the cottage/craft method. The second round, the students created an assembly line to show how much faster they could work when each person had a small part in making each airplane. In their third round, students had to deal with setbacks such as electrical outages, workplace accidents, and living by the bosses decisions. To make the simulation feel more believable, Mr. Jackson played industrial sounds in the background so the students felt like they were in an actual factory.
"It's one of my favorite days of the school year," said Jackson.
