To kick off their Mesopotamia unit, Ms. Poort’s 6th grade social studies class put history into action! Students created their own civilizations by writing laws, developing a language to trade for materials, and even building a Ziggurat (stone temple). With their resources, they engineered a top-secret invention—the catapult!
