The Junior English class recently held its annual Great Gatsby Party on April 28th during seminar. After finishing the novel and watching the film adaptation, students are rewarded with a celebration inspired by the Roaring Twenties. Students were encouraged to sign up to bring foods that were popular during the 1920s, and for extra credit, they could dress up in period-appropriate attire.
“We started doing the party in 2014, and I feel like every year the students really enjoy the opportunity to dress up and make memories,” said Junior English teacher Mrs. Switzky.
“I really enjoyed dressing up because I thought I looked really tough. It was fun and very nicely decorated. Everyone’s participation made it a great party,” said Josh Rodewald ’27.
