During Power Hour on Wednesday, April 22, seniors in this semester’s Business Economics class hosted their Market Day project, selling a variety of items to students and staff. Market Day is held once each semester, giving every senior the opportunity to participate in this hands-on business experience. Although this semester’s class was smaller, the event was a huge success!
As part of the project, the class voted on where to donate one-third of each group’s profits. The remaining earnings were either also donated or divided among group members as a reward for their hard work and dedication.
Student Groups:
Sarah Lake — Baked goods and Oreo balls
Jesus Zavala, Garrett Jewell, and Jeven Smith — Pizza
Kiley Rogers and Addilyn Lefferd — Baked goods and raffle
Mya Snyder, Nalanie Kesler, and Madison Blackwood — Dirty sodas
After Market Day, Mr. Boucher shared, “This semester, the class really worked hard and showed a lot of creativity in their marketing, which really helped sell their products. Having a smaller class has its advantages, as everyone made a significant amount of money, and I can’t wait to total it and see how much we raised!”
