Visiting Fans: PLEASE ENTER from the NORTH off of 24th St. That will be the only gate that is open to non-athletes in the facility.
CONCESSION STAND will be available.
● Results will be communicated to coaches and AD's after being organized and processed. Results will likely be shared digitally the following day. There will NOT be medals awarded.

Other Information:
● There are no limits for the number of entries into events.
● Per KSHSAA rules, students are limited to a maximum of 4 events.
● Field Events
○ Cafeteria Style, we will complete 7th and 8th grade girls discus, shot, and long jump all at once. Athletes may move between these events since they will be occurring together.
○ ART. 6... Warm-ups shall not be allowed unless supervised by an event official or the contestant’s coach and the venue has been declared open by the meet director. It is illegal to run backward or in the opposite direction (non-legal direction) on a horizontal jump. At the conclusion of any field event, there shall be no further practice and implements, shall be removed from the area. Once a competition has begun, except as scheduled, competitors are not allowed to use for practice purposes the runway, ring, takeoff area or throwing implements associated with the competition.
○ Boys’ High Jump will start at 4’ 0” feet for 7th grade and 4’3” for 8 th grade with the bar raised 2” after each round until not more than six (6) competitors remain, then raised 1” after each round thereafter.
○ Girls’ High Jump will start at 3’6” for the 7th grade and 3’9” for the 8 th grade with the bar raised 2” after each round until not more than six (6) competitors remain, then raised 1” after each round thereafter.
○ Shot, discus, Turbo Jav & LJ will be given three (3) throws/Jumps. (No preliminaries) Throws will be marked, and we will only measure the best throw. Shot Put & Discus throwing rings are concrete surfaces. Shot put shall be thrown only in the area provided. The 6 lbs. shot for girls, 4.0 kg. Shot for boys will be used in competition. Discus shall be thrown only in the area provided. The girls 1 kg. (2.2 lbs.) Discus will be used in all competitions. 181 mm (7.17 inches in diameter).
● When running events are announced, please have athletes check in at the bullpen area of the middle school track.
○ Make sure students check out of the field event with the adult, when going to a running event.
○ Starting blocks will be available.
○ Hurdle specification will be as follows: Boys & Girls - 100 m. Lows = 30”
● Spikes may be used, (1/4” pyramid), on the long jump runway, high jump, shot put, discus and the track.
● Since this is the first meet of the year, one false start will be allowed.
● The Junior High Athletic Participation Rules will be followed; (four events per competitor, including relays, and no more than two races of 800 meters or more).
● Shot put and discus shall be thrown only in the area provided and not on the football field. This equipment should be placed on the bus when the event is completed. Please be sure to bring your own shot, discus, 400g turbo jav.
● Shot and discus are located south of the track.
