Softball Games

The Royal Valley softball team has kicked off the season on a strong note. On March 12th, they opened with a jamboree against Santa Fe Trail, falling 7–2, but bounced back with a win over Holton.

On Thursday, March 26th, the Panthers hosted Holton for a doubleheader. They came out strong in game one, securing a 9–6 victory behind an impressive performance from Sydney Moss, who hit two home runs. In game two, the Panthers battled hard but came up short, 5–3.

On Monday, March 30th, Royal Valley traveled to Seneca to take on Nemaha Central. The Panthers won the first game 8–3, highlighted by KiWe Miller’s dominant performance in the circle with 14 strikeouts. The second game was a tough, extra-inning battle after ending regulation in a tie, with Nemaha Central edging out the Panthers 8–7. This brought Royal Valley’s early season record to 2–2.

Senior Madison Blackwood shared, “I think we have a really hardworking group of girls, and we have a lot of potential for this season. I’m very excited to see where the season takes us.”
