TESTING

With state testing approaching, the RVHS Drumline visited the elementary school to encourage 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders, before they take on state testing. Their high energy performance filled the gym with excitement, helping students relax and have fun!

Senior Trystan Murata said, "It always pays off when we perform and see the kids smiling and having fun. Knowing that something as simple as our music can make them happy and more confident makes all the hard work worth it."

Students across the Royal Valley School District will begin taking a variety of state and district assessments over the next few weeks. We want to make sure all parents and guardians are aware that testing will be taking place in the coming weeks and to help students be as prepared and confident as possible. Your support at home can make a big difference in helping students do their best!

Tips to help students prepare for testing days:

  • Get a good night’s rest the night before each test.

  • Eat a healthy breakfast to help stay focused and energized.

  • Arrive at school on time so students do not feel rushed or miss important instructions.

  • If possible, schedule appointments on non-testing days so students can be present for their assessments.

  • If your child has them, please have them bring corded headphones for testing.

  • Have a motivating conversation at home—encourage your child to do their best, take their time, and not rush through the test.

These assessments help us understand student progress and guide instruction to better support learning across our district. We appreciate your partnership in helping students come prepared and ready to succeed.

If you have any questions about testing schedules or expectations, please feel free to contact your building administrators.

Thank you for your continued support of Royal Valley students!
