RVHS Spanish III and IV students found fun and creative ways to deepen their understanding of their recent story and unit vocabulary. They began by reading the story to one another, then brought it to life by acting it out for absent classmates using costumes, props, and sets.
To further demonstrate their comprehension, students sketched nine key scenes from the story. They then cut the scenes apart, mixed them up, and challenged one another to place the drawings in the correct order. Finally, students used their illustrations to build a timeline and retell the story—all entirely in Spanish!
“All of these students did a great job and it was very entertaining to watch them act out the story!” said Mrs. Temple.
Throughout the activity, students were encouraged to speak only in Spanish, helping build their confidence while using the language in a fun and engaging way.
