The FCCLA chapter recently hosted the district “Pot of Gold,” an event designed to give state qualifiers the opportunity to present their projects and receive valuable feedback before competing at state. This experience helps students refine their work and increase their chances of advancing to nationals.
Mrs. Litherland shared, “The goal of Pot of Gold is to give students the chance to practice in front of an audience and receive feedback before state. It also provides parents with insight into the projects their students have been working on and encourages more members to participate in STAR Events next year. I believe all of our goals were met, as each student received helpful suggestions for improvement.”
Four state competitors presented one final time before their state competition:
Ella Rawling – Hands of Hope
Hanna Myers – Military Dentist Career Investigation
Payton Hollar-Hicks – Building Connections
Kiley Rogers – Food is Fuel
The chapter also inducted new district officers: Hanna Myers as Vice President of Finance and Soonwy Wahwassuck as Vice President of Technology. Congratulations, ladies!
