Time: 4:00 PM
Location: Sabetha Middle School - 751 Blue Jay Blvd, Sabetha, KS 66534
Teams: Atchison, Hiawatha, Holton, Jeff West, Nemaha Central, Perry Lecompton, Riley County, Rossville, Royal Valley, Sabetha, Silver Lake, St. Marys
Each school is allowed to enter one 7th grade team and one 8th grade team. The competition will consist of two pools of six for each grade level. The top two teams from each pool will advance to bracket play. Pools were determined from a random draw at the February Admin meeting.
Competition will take place in the three grade level pods, as well as three classrooms in the commons area. We will use six classrooms for each grade level, twelve classrooms total. Each area will host one pool, so teams will stay in that area for the entire round robin competition. Each grade level will have their own set of questions.
We recommend that coaches collect all cell phones from students prior to the start of competition, and return them to the students at the conclusion of this event.
Packets will be handed out to coaches when they check in at the office.
Please make note of the competition schedule. We will be using 12 classrooms and running 7th and 8th competition at the same time.
Team bus and van parking will use the swimming pool parking lot to the east of the school. Our schools are dismissed at staggering times, so you can expect a little congestion along Bluejay Blvd between from 3:20 – 3:30. You should be able to pull directly into the swimming pool parking lot without any issues. Teams will then enter the building from the east entrance and gather in the commons area.
No concession stand or hospitality room will be provided.
