This week in 7th grade ELA, students have been working on identifying and correcting misplaced, dangling, and squinting modifiers. We wrapped up the lesson with a lively game of TrashketBall. Students were split into teams and answered grammar questions for the chance to take a shot at the basket. Several exciting 5-point shots brought teams from behind to win the game.
Needless to say, it was a little loud in 7th grade ELA, but students were highly engaged and practicing important grammar skills in a fun, competitive way!
