Senior Cyrus Harding achieved two major milestones at the Regional Wrestling Tournament by qualifying for the State Tournament and surpassing 100 career victories. Harding enters the State Tournament with 103 career wins and will be making his third appearance at the state level. He has been wrestling since the age of 5.
Harding also set the school record this season for career pins with more than 82 this season and holds the single-season record of 30 pins, which he established during his sophomore year. With Harding's 3rd place win at Regionals, he now has 33 wins so far this season, tying for 10th place in single-season wins in Royal Valley history and currently ranks 6th in career wins.
Harding said, “This is the year that I make a statement. I am ready to compete and hope to see my name on the wall in the RVHS wrestling room. I am excited to see what this year’s competition brings.”
