Attention Panthers! Prom is right around the corner. It will be held on April 18th, 2026 from 7:00pm to10:00pm at Kay McFarland Japanese Garden and Venue in Topeka. Here is all the information you will need to know in order to attend!
This is a Junior/Senior only event, so if you are an underclassmen you will need to have an upperclassman sign you up to attend. RVHS Juniors & Seniros can start signing up after spring break!
Red Carpet Grand Entrance - Please arrive between 6:45pm-7:00pm for the grand entrance. You will enter at the Japanese Garden gates. There will be a sign there that says RVHS Prom. This will be an opportunity for students to be introduced, and asked questions (example: where did you go out to eat, what are you most excited about this evening?), and also take photos on the red carpet. All parents / guardians are invited to watch the RVHS Red Carpet Event!
Tickets ($35): Students can start purchasing tickets to prom in the RVHS Office on Monday, March 24th! The last day to purchase tickets will be on Friday, April 10th at noon in the RVHS office.
Prom Guests: If you are bringing a sophomore or freshmen, you must list them as your guest. In addition, all outside guests are required to submit the guest dance form, which can be found in the office. All guests are required to be in high school or no older than 19 years old. Outside guest forms must be turned into the RVHS office by Friday, April 10th at noon!
Prom Policies: Please check in with Mr. Green, Mrs. Geis, or Mrs. Wick after the Red Carpet Event, so that we can take attendance. Once you enter prom, you will not be allowed to leave. If you do leave, you will not be allowed back into the prom venue. The doors to prom will close at 8:00pm and you will not be able to get in after that.
Prom Eligibility: in order to attend prom, students must be academically eligible by Wednesday, April 15th. If you are not eligible, you will not be able to attend prom. Please check with the admin if you have any questions. Full-time students: You cannot have more than one failing grade. Part-time seniors (anything less than a full schedule): You must be passing all of your classes.
