Ms. Clark’s Applications in Horticulture class has officially launched a student-run flower business, Purple Reign Florals!
Through this new venture, students are gaining valuable, real-world experience while growing their skills in floriculture, marketing, and customer service. The Horticulture, Floriculture, and Greenhouse Management classes are fully responsible for operating the business—from maintaining the greenhouse to designing and creating floral arrangements.
Students will offer a new floral arrangement each month through a subscription service, giving community members two flexible options: subscribing for a single month or for an entire semester. Pricing will vary depending on the subscription choice.
This hands-on project not only strengthens students’ technical and creative abilities, but also increases involvement within the FFA chapter and builds meaningful connections with the community. Most importantly, it gives students confidence as they apply classroom learning to real-life situations.
Ms. Clark shared the vision behind the program:
“Our end goal with Purple Reign Florals is to give students real-world experience in running a business while building confidence, creativity, and career skills they can carry beyond high school. This isn’t just about flowers—it’s about preparing students to lead, problem-solve, and serve their community. Purple Reign Florals was created to give our students hands-on experience in floriculture, marketing, and customer service while serving our local community. Our goal is for students to graduate with both technical skills and the confidence that comes from creating something meaningful from start to finish.”
