On Tuesday, December 16th, students in Ms. Templeās Spanish II class celebrated Caga Tió, a unique holiday tradition from the Catalonia region in northern Spain.
Caga Tió, also known as the āpooping log,ā is a popular Christmas tradition in which children care for a smiling log by feeding it and keeping it warm. On Christmas Eve, the log is hit with sticks while children sing traditional songs, and it āproducesā gifts and treats.
Spanish II students really enjoyed all of the Spanish candy that they found under the "pooping log!"
