Winter sports just started up, and it is now the Royal Valley Dance Team's time to shine! They started the basketball season off with the dance, Man! I Feel Like A Woman choreographed by Sophomore & Co-Captain, Mac Nelson.
The dance coach, Kenzie Hegemann said, "I’m excited to see how everyone grows by the end of the season. My favorite thing about coaching dance is seeing everyone’s different personalities come out in the dance moves. The new girls this season have really made the energy pop and I’m so happy to see that they are enjoying dance!"
Since the fall season, the dance team has added few new additions - Regan DeVader, Abbey Montague, and Kiley Rogers.
Freshman, Regan DeVader said, "It's really fun, I have a lot of friends on the team and it's a very positive environment. I like that we get to do a lot of fun activities and team bonding."
Junior, Abbey Montague said, "I really enjoy being on the dance team because I just love dancing. My favorite part is being apart of a welcoming group and not feeling left out."
Senior, Kiley Rogers said, "I'm excited to perform more dances, and I really enjoy when we do team bonding activities."
The dance team has many dances in stock and can't wait to show you! Come support them at upcoming home games to watch performances like Rihanna's Pon de Replay & Breakin' Dishes or Loose My Breathe by Destiny's Child.
