This year’s art classes have been putting in tons of effort and creativity to make some amazing projects come to life. From colorful mosaics to detailed clay work, each class has been exploring new ways to express their artistic skills.
Right now, the Art Foundations class is busy creating mosaic panels made of glass. Students are using pieces of broken pottery and glass to build beautiful, eye-catching designs. The process takes patience and focus, but the results are truly worth it. Each mosaic tells its own story through color, texture, and shape.
In 3D Art, students are working on hand-building techniques using coil construction. Each person started by making a cylinder that shows no movement, then created a coil vase designed to show movement and flow. This project helps them understand form, balance, and how to bring motion into a still piece of art. Some students have already finished and are moving on to their next challenge, building their own birdhouses.
Freshmen Payton Snyder said, "I am very excited to finish my birdhouse. It will be just in time for a gift for my grandma."
