Last week, several RVHS JCYC members volunteered their time to read to Kindergarten and 1st grade students during their library time with Mrs. Koch. In honor of Red Ribbon Week, the high school students selected books that focused on kindness and gratitude.
After storytime, the younger students completed a fun “Gratitude Jar” activity, where they drew pictures of things they were thankful for. Each student received a sticker and a Smarties candy, along with an encouraging message from JCYC members to “Make SMART choices every day!”
