Big East Middle School League Tournament Rules
Format: Pool play followed by bracket play.
Seeding for the league tournament will be based on the following criteria:
League Record, Head to Head, Overall winning %, Coin Toss
The official start time for the MS VB tournament is 9 a.m.
For the Big East League VB Tournament, each school will be responsible for providing an adult line judge when their team plays.
Matches will be played best 2 out of 3 (3rd game to 15)
(12) Medals will be given to the teams that finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the league tournament.
KSHSAA Tiebreaking Procedures will be used
Warm-up Procedure for the Tournament: A team’s first match will have a 20-minute warm-up, followed by a 10-minute warm-up for each match after that. A shorter amount may also be agreed upon.
4 Court Tournament Option
All officials will be paid for 5 matches. Pool C and D officials will line judge for the semifinals and finals.
