The Varsity Panthers battled hard against the Jeff West Tigers on Friday, September 12th. Fueled by the energy of the crowd, RVHS held a 12-7 lead at halftime and kept the advantage deep into the game. However, a few late big plays allowed the Tigers to pull ahead, and the Panthers fell short with a final score of 20-35.
“Our defense was strong all night—we forced multiple turnovers,” said Griffin Cumpton. “Unfortunately, our offense couldn’t capitalize on most of them. This week we’ll focus on fixing those issues so we can come back stronger and play a more complete game.”
