The 7th and 8th grade Advanced Art students, under the direction of Cory Triplett, have added a little extra “Panther Pride” to the RVMS Weight Room. These Advanced Art students designed, presented the idea and painted the mural through the year.
First students began by creating their own ideas for the mural. Next students worked in small group to create a combined mural idea. Then each class combined their group ideas into one final designs to represent their class. Finally each student voted for their favorite final design.
The Art students then presented their idea to a panel of school staff (Mr. Davis, Mrs. Hundley, Mrs. Congers, Ms. Moore, Mr. McClane, and Ms. Douglass) for approval. This presentation described each image in the design and what it represented.
After the classes received approval, students began drawing and painting the design on to the wall. The supplies used in this project were provided by a grant from the Prairie Band Potawatomi Charitable Contributions. This project could not have been completed without them.
